OMELETTEMACHINE

OMELETTEMACHINE is a Bouffon style theatrical feast, loosely inspired by Hamlet and Hamletmachine. This grotesque, darkly comedic piece confronts the cycles of violence born from family trauma.
Through a bouffonesque and clowning performance style, we meet Mike - the Headless Chicken - trapped in a relentless loop of butchery and torment. As he serves his customers (the audience) in his family’s butcher shop, Mike attempts to keep up appearances while haunted by his father’s ghost - a suffocating presence, ever-watchful and ever-judging.
Eggs crack. Blood splatters. Comedy meets horror as Mike peels back his own layers, his mockery of Hamlet growing more chaotic, until the lines between performer, bouffon, and character dissolve entirely.
Part semi-autobiographical confession, part theatrical vivisection, OMELETTEMACHINE butchers Shakespeare’s most famous play to expose the raw flesh of inherited trauma.
